Fiber Optic Patch Cables
A fiber optic patch cable is a data cable that transmits information, but instead of using a copper core to transmit electrical signals like a standard data or network cable, a fiber optic patch cable has a glass core that transmits information as light. We carry fiber optic cables with a variety of connectors and with many different ends.
We carry 10 gigabit optimized fiber, 50 micron multimode fiber, 62.5 micron multimode fiber, and 9 (8.3) micron Singlemode fiber. We stock fiber optic patch cables in standard metered lengths from a 1 meter cable up to a 30 meter cable. All of the fiber optic patch cables we carry are PVC jacketed and have riser connectors. We can also get Plenum cables/connectors. Our fiber optic patch cables come with LC connectors, ST connectors, SC connectors, or MTRJ connectors in different combinations. Not all ends and combinations of ends are available in all styles as a stock item. All of our fiber optic patch cables are sold standard as duplex fiber cables. We can also get simplex cables if that is what you need. If you would like something you donít see here give us a call at 1-866-213-2500.
On these pages you'll see this sign "Ķ". That is a Mu. It is the symbol for a Micron, which is a unit of measurement (for very small things). In this case it is the diameter of the core (the glass part witch carrys the signal) of a fiber optic patch cable. The smaller this is the faster the cable is able to transmit.
